The project "Different Together – Teacher Training Education at RWTH Aachen University" is funded by the German federal and state governments as part of the joint quality offensive for teacher training. The project is being implemented in close cooperation between the six faculties of teacher training education at RWTH Aachen University, the Teacher Training Council, the Teacher Training Center, and the Central University Administration.

Brief Description

The project aims to develop teacher training at RWTH into an integral part of the Iniversity. The planned project Different Together – Teacher Training Education at RWTH Aachen University was implemented via three packages of measures during the first funding phase between 2015 and 2018:

  1. Consideration of heterogeneity and inclusion in teaching and research
  2. Strengthening practical relevance and professionalization
  3. Support structures for teacher training

The initiated measures and the results achieved in the first funding phase from 2015 to 2018 will be continued in the second funding phase running from 2019 to 2023 and the three existing packages of measures will be expanded to include "Teaching and Learning in a Virtual World".
